ways that you can support the cause

Cover of the Monument Project book   There are many ways that you can support our cause. First write or email for your copy of the Gettysburg Monument Project packet.
Our goal is to raise approximately $4.5 million to ensure the restoration of these "Icons of Freedom" and endow them with a trust fund to provide proper maintenance for generations to come.
Please consider a donation to this worthy cause and share news of this project with individuals or groups who might also wish to assist. Tax deductible donations may be made by check to the "Pennsylvania Gettysburg Monuments Project" and sent to the Harrisburg office of Rep. Harry Readshaw. The contributions will then be used for the restoration/preservation of Pennsylvania monuments.

Click to find out More about the commemorative license plate. One year ago, the efforts to restore and preserve the monuments to Pennsylvanians and the men of all the other states, North and South, who fought there, were sporadic at best. Federal funding for their preservation was and remains woefully inadequate. And while some organizations and individuals have had success in targeting particular monuments, overall, it has been a losing battle --until now!

Book is currently out of print. We will sell it again when it is back in print. We are proud to announce the newest addition to our efforts. The Guide to Pennsylvania Troops At Gettysburg is now available for purchase. With the information provided in this 2nd Edition, you can follow in the footsteps of an individual or unit from the Keystone State in the Civil War's most important battle. When the two great armies met in Gettysburg, troops from Pennsylvania were well represented. The book includes when and where each unit was raised, the officers, weapons, strengths and losses, a map to follow the unit's actions and excerpts from official reports. A narrative of each unit's actions, written with modern landmarks, allows the reader to easily follow troop movements.
